d PlsUR of d Txt by ROl& BRtZ documents the work of Nick Davies (Nik DAvEz), who during 2010/11 translated The Pleasure of the Text by Roland Barthes entirely into text messaging language. This project was undertaken as an anonymous online collaboration between Nick and an online peer-to-peer database called transl8it.com.
The book contains full documentation of the process involved in the translation, as well as the full translated text and an essay by it's most recent translator (Nick Davies). The book is available as a risograph printed edition or as an eBook. 100% of the profits from all sales of the eBook will be donated to The National Literacy Trust.
